A piece of jewelry is a unique expression of the designer's
personality. A photograph is an extension of that message. It's not enough
to make it look "good"; it must carry the spirit of it's creator and invoke
something in the person who sees it. One could argue that a great design
is viewed best on a completely neutral background, which is why all Harry
Winston sales associates wear black. But the right background can set the
scene for a more emotional response, and enhance or even alter the mood
of a design.
