Tom Loeffer is the President of Cottonwood Construction Inc. Tom began working construction
as a laborer / carpenter in 1979. He worked for Crandall Brothers construction
until the summer 1985, then started working for Ultimate Builders
as a Union journeyman carpenter. Tom ran the framing crews for multi-family
and upper bracket residential homes. Four years later he went to work for
Braxton Hancock as a finish carpenter on several commercial projects. In
1991 he started working for Elder Jones working on strip malls and other
types of commercial projects. Then in 1992 Tom began working as superintendent
for Cottonwood Construction Inc. Just three years later he purchased the company from owner Al Blazevic.
Who We Are
John Anderson comes to Cottonwood Construction with over 40 years experience in general construction. Starting as a laborer in 1965 with Ted Bryan Construction, John worked as a laborer for a few months until he joined the carpenter apprenticeship program in September of 1965, becoming a union carpenter in 1967. During the 60’s and early 70’s he worked mainly in single and multi-family housing in and around the metro area. In 1977 he went to work as a carpenter foreman for Magney Construction, where he was involved in industrial, civil and institutional construction. During that same time John and his wife owned a family business primarily building single family homes. In 1988 John went to work for Shingobee Builders as a Construction Superintendent and Safety Officer a position he held for 14 years until he left to accept another position in 2002. At Shingobee John was involved with the building of the Spent Fuel Storage area at NSP’s Prairie Island Nuclear Plant in Red Wing, the Hotel and Conference Center addition for Jackpot Junction Casino at Morton, MN, a Waste Water Treatment Plant at Lake Mills, WI, and ice arenas in Highland Park and Minnetonka, MN. John left Shingobee Builders in 2002 after 14 years to accept another position. He came to work at Cottonwood Construction in 2004 as a Project Manager and Estimator.
